Our U.A.E flirting community have had their spacial way of talking to each other over the phone. As much as you try to figure out whether the girl your talking to is tweaking her voice to sound cute or not you end being told with a Micky Mouse voice "that's our real voice", piss her off and you get her real voice.
I don't blame them, in the end girls are supposed to be cute and it seems that their doing their best. but the issue here that the exact voice tweaking is spreading to guys too !!!
Take the example of the manly typical local guy who emphasizes his masculinity with his strong voice tone and great use of words. The moment he says "shush guys my girl is calling!" you can sit there in amusement as his inner girl personality surfaces with a tweaked girlish voice tone and lame kiss ass comments as if he is saying "Oh ! mighty princess am your slave!"
The poor soul usually takes a corner in the room just like a shy baby, lowers his head and smiles like a wuss.
Last time I checked, girls shouldn't be into those type of wuss bags. whats wrong with our society?

We really do have a messed up society, sadly.
I never understand the phone thing anyway...what's the point in talking on the phone for hours? It's so superficial. I've heard about the tweaking thing but it's just really shallow to hide anything about one's personality, including voice! I mean what's the point of concealing the real sound of one's voice...unless it's only a phone relationship and the lovebirds are never gonna meet? Hiding things and lying are dishonest and don't make a healthy relationship...
Guys' voices tweaking? lol - I agree - he's a wuss and a half. But if he's just changing his tone of voice to sound less aggressive, then that's ok.. I mean sometimes I hear it myself.. I'm with a guy, and his friend calls, suddenly he says "Allo" in a voice I've never heard.. and wouldn't wanna hear it again directed at me!

That's the other thing, shush my girl is calling? Why do they do that? She has to understand that your time is yours to manage as you best see fit.
On another note, why do some local women demand 24 hour telephone attention. If you don't give her that, you're either ''talking to someone else'', or simply not giving her attention etc etc

Nah I dislike wussbags very very much... I mean whats the point of getting that shy voice and all slave-like as you mentioned... I completely find it troubling... and dislike it very much... I'm not saying that he should be completely rough or anything... but more like a man... I dont want to feel like I'm stronger than him... or that I own him... But it doesnt mean he always has to have that tough image exterior.. if he needs a friend and a confidant... ill play the part... just as long as I know that its only cause he needs to talk something out...
But when it comes to romance and love... I think I'd rather he tease me and get me pissed off than sweet talk me in a baby shy voice... If a man's not a manly man... then he's not man enough for me...
Are you not glad that what appeals to some doesn't appeal to others? otherwise all would be fighting over some wuss or something.
I don't think they are trying to disguise anything i*maginate, they just think it is "sexy", and we can't decide what is sexy to others ;)
